GALERIE SANS NOM is a non-profit artist-run center involved in the promotion, production and exhibition of contemporary art. Established in 1979, GALERIE SANS NOM has distinguished itself as one of the few francophone artist-run centers outside of Québec.

GALERIE SANS NOM’s driving force has been to provide a place for creative expression within our artistic community. Acting as a vital communication vehicle, GALERIE SANS NOM provides an impetus for change stimulating the imagination and creativity.

Located in the Center culturel Aberdeen, GALERIE SANS NOM is part of the cultural and artistic community. Exhibitions, concerts, poetry readings, conferences, film and video presentations, dances and performances are some of the wide range of activities offered through our regular programming.

GALERIE SANS NOM provides assistance in the production of creative and innovative work. Artists are invited to submit project proposals to be reviewed by a selection committee Accepted projects receive artist fees, promotional and technical assistance.

Any institution or individual interested in becoming a member can do so by paying an annual membership fee. GALERIE SANS NOM is recognized as a charitable organization; therefore, tax deductible donations are accepted (*).

As a member you are entitled to:

Voting privileges at all members’ meetings.

Access to a library of information

PRODUCTION - PROMOTION

GALERIE SANS NOM accepts and develops project proposals. We also offer exhibition space as well as production assistance through technical and logistical support for the carrying out of projects. GALERIE SANS NOM also organizes major cultural events in collaboration with regional, national and international organizations.

ACTIVITIES - EDUCATION

GALERIE SANS NOM facilitates information sharing and educational opportunities through the organizing of workshops and debates headed by guest artists. Our program also provides for various conferences and workshops.

CONSULTATION - INFORMATION

Galerie Sans Nom offers access to various material such as catalogues, books, magazines and other resource materials for consultation purposes. We also have at our disposal artist portfolios, audio and video tapes as well as information on artists and the arts across Canada.
